The Serenade in Blue Swing Band

...will have its monthly big band gig at the D-Note in Arvada, Friday, September 11th from 2-4pm

It will be a great opportunity to hear the swing band in a nice restaurant/tavern setting.  They have a raised stage for the band with a really nice hardwood dance floor.  So you can get pizza/Italian pasta, cold beer, and dance or just listen to great big band era music played by a traditional 16-piece big band. Bring the kids/grand kids.  They love eating pizza, doing their "moves," and always have a blast....bring the camera!

Normally there is an $8 per person door fee, whoever, since Arvada is celebrating its annual Harvest Fest Day, we will play for tips only...what a deal!  Spend the day walking around the Arvada Historic Square, catch a morning festival parade, and then come in and listen to Serenade in Blue Swing at the D-Note.

With over 3000 big music arrangements, you will always hear a fresh mix of music played as Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller, Harry James, Johnny Mercer, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and the other greats wanted their music played.  We will try out a few Latin numbers this time around and some beautiful big band music of some current arrangers.

D-Note is a short 15-minute drive from Stapleton and is located just north of I-70 off Olde Wadsworth Ave in Arvada's Historic Square (at 7519 Grandview Ave, Arvada, CO7519 Grandview Ave, Arvada, CO).

See you there!

Our dance was great! People commented that we were like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers out there."
