Littleton Kicks up its heals At Street dance!

To mark the 100th birthday of this beautifully restored building- now the Littleton Municipal Court House-the City of Littleton sponsored a street dance on January 12, that replicated the events of 100 years ago. Well-known Littleton actor Max Smith delivered, in period costume, the original dedication speech delivered by the Honorable J.W. Springer in 1908.
Afterwards, the street dance began, with Littleton's own Zebra Junction performing dance music for all ages and Adventures In Dance Formation team made a stunning performance of their dancing skills .Commemorative coins were handed out to the first 500 families, as they were in 1908. Hot cider and cookies, depicting a color image of the courthouse, were also available. Members of the Historical Preservation Board, also in period costume, gave guided tours of the building.

Thank you to the Dance Adventure Team performing. Craig Tomazin, Havilah Davis, Mark Brindel, Tracy Boykin, Melvyn Marcusson, Sally Faust, Charles Gilliam & Stephanie Chavez. You all did an outstanding job on a slanted surface in sub zero temperatures. It just shows how you can dance anytime anywhere, and you all did it with class. The city of Littleton send a special thank you to the dancers for supporting our city.  Come by the studio to check it out!

Why did the chicken cross the road?

Ballroom Dancers' response:
"Crossing the road followed line of dance."
"To get the judges' attention."
"The road lead, the chicken followed."
