Tossing the Boquet- or Don’t rip your gown!

Tossing your bouquet is another way to keep your dress intact. It seems that the tradition of tearing off a piece of the bride’s gown for good luck went a little too far, and the brides had to have accessories that she could dispose of to escape loosing her shirt. Tossing the bouquet allowed her to escape her guests as they chased after her flowers.

Modern weddings are not so revealing. Brides and grooms have the option of throwing the bouquet, raffling it, or giving it as a sign of friendship. It is your wedding, make it special to you. For more information check out
