I like to help out in the community, especially downtown Littleton. Last year Robyn and Bill helped out with the Littleton Scavenger hunt dancing Victorian dances for the 1800’s period.

This year Historic Littleton Inc. chose from 1900 to 1929. The youth from my youth squad came down to share their knowledge of 1900 dance. The youth that participated were Austin and Aiden Testerman, Alle Virgo, and Robyn Collins. Craig and I also came down to share our knowledge of historic dance.

We made our way downtown and danced in front of Jose’s restaurant. We had selections from the Blue Danube, the bohemian polka, the Entertainer, Fascination, Billy a dick, La Vie En Rose, the Charleston and many more. We shared popular dances from that period including the Viennese Waltz, Slow Waltz, Polka, Foxtrot, Peabody, swing, Tango, Argentine Tango, Quickstep, Lindy hop, and Charleston. The kids had a great time dancing for all the participants of the scavenger hunt.

When we were done the Historic Littleton inc. treated us to a sandwich lunch. We had a great time socializing with Jennie Perehsin from Romancing the Bean, Jose and Phyllis Trujilo, and Greg Reinke. What a fun event for the community to come together and share our history.  Do mark your calendar to participate in this next year.
