Holiday Speakeasy soiree for Holland partner group featuring Adventures in Dance
On Thursday December 10, 2015 the Holland Partner group held their Christmas party at the Brown Palace. They chose to use a 1920’s theme in the style of a speakeasy. Everyone dressed exceptionally for the occasion, with flappers and bootleggers abounding. A photo booth was present to capture the moment. Table toppers included signs about the prohibition, tying into the speakeasy theme.
The Brown palace did an exceptional dinner as always. Salads tied up and drizzled with dressing, then a main course of chicken, salmon or vegetarian. At the end of dinner, dancers from Adventures in Dance started the soiree
with historic dances. They danced a Turkey trot, a slow Waltz, a Tango, a Foxtrot, a Rumba, and wrapped up with a Charleston, Quickstep, Lindy hop segue. Then the Colorado Swing Cats band took off with a rousing number. Guests were then treated to a rapid fire raffle, followed by more music and dancing. Holly and William demonstrated how to dance the Charleston, and the Foxtrot. Then guests got up and mixed it up with the Adventures in Dance staff. The Holland Partner Group had a fabulous corporate party.
