Christmas was in the air as dancers gathered at Adventures in Dance in Littleton to strut their stuff. On Sunday December 11 2016 the staff and students from Adventures in dance gathered to dine and dance in a holiday fashion at the annual Snow Ball Amateur Jam and dinner dance. The evening began with social dancing to Christmas tunes. At the strike of 5 pm the fun really began. Students lined up for a mock competition to show what they had been learning about ballroom and Latin dance.
The staff put something special together. Holly & William did his Standard and Smooth Waltz to a Christmas medley. Next, Craig & Robyn danced an open Waltz to Memory from Cats, in honor of Robyn’s new kittens.
Before dinner we sang happy birthday to Genise who come out to party for her birthday. Then Holly Collins presented awards, and ornaments for guests. We dined on holiday Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet corn, steamed vegetables, cornbread, and assorted apple and pumpkin pies.
We had a great time celebrating the holiday with such wonderful students. I look forward to doing this again next year.
