Father-Daughter Dance at the Pinery Country Club Parker Co
Don’t you think it is so sweet when daddy’s take their daughters out? The Pinery Country Club in Parker Colorado thinks so. They held their annual Father-Daughter dance on Saturday May 6th.
The fathers and daughters were impeccably clad in their finest threads for this occasion. The theme for their dance was a Luau. The delightful dinner was themed around the tropics. Joining the festivities was princess of Maui, Moana, who came to sing and tell stories to the girls.
When dinner was over, everyone got up for dancing and dessert. Holly from adventures in dance taught a tropical line dance, then taught the dads how to samba with their daughters. Next, they leaned the washerwoman branle (brawl), which Holly turned into the Latin dance the bachata. The girls had a great time requesting their favorite songs to dance to, and even requested the chicken dance, electric slide and the cupid shuffle.
After a full night of dinner and dancing, daddy’s and daughters made their way home to sweet dreams of tropical princess. This was a great event, and I look forward to the next father-daughter dance. Remember to dance with happy feet.
