Two Step n Tulips Denver Botanical Gardens
The Denver Botanical Gardens hosts the best off the clock series of events. We have had the pleasure of teaching dance at several, like the Vintage Victorian (see here) and Glow at the gardens (see here). On Friday April 6 the off the clock was Two Step n Tulips at the Denver Botanical Gardens.
Country Line Dance
Holly Collins and William taught fun line dances for guests at the Denver Botanical Gardens. At the 6:45 pm show they started with the Rita’s Waltz Line Dance to Ernest Tubb’s “Waltz Across Texas” (see here). Next, they taught the Sleazy slide line dance to “super Love” by Exile. Everyone was doing so well that they dove right into the Cowboy Cha-cha to “Neon Moon” by Brooks and Dunn. To wrap this set up a quick review of the Electric slide was taught before playing the last line dance song.
Denver Botanical Gardens Entertainment
Between lessons guests could get up and two-step (see here) to the lively tunes played by Grass It up in Mitchell Hall. If you chose to investigate the gardens, you might find yourself serenaded by the sweet sounds of Vi the Fiddler. On the opposite side of the atrium you would find lively country music by Halden Wofford Trio.
Line dance lesson
8 pm Mitchell hall was packed from wall to wall for the second country line dance lesson. The Electric slide kicked was the perfect line dance to kick off the second set. Holly Collins taught Rita’s Waltz again but added the option to dance it with a partner in tandem. Holly & William taught the sleazy slide again for guests who missed it the first time. From there they had just enough time to teach the Tush push to “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” by Brooks and Dunn.
Two Step N Tulips
As the line dance wrapped up Grass it up returned to the stage to wrap up the evenings dancing. Happy guests grabbed their partners for one last dance. Then they donned their coats and made their way home. Watch for more great “Off the Clock” events at the Denver Botanical Gardens.
