Carousel Spring Dance
Spring is a great time to get out and dance. So, the folks with the Carousel dance club put together their spring dance for April 28th. To celebrate spring, they invited Craig and Holly from Adventures in dance to perform during the band intermission.
Carousel Spring Dance location
Dancers dressed in their best evening wear and made their way to the Pinehurst Country Club. They were eager to dine on a delicious plated dinner provided by the country club. Drawing on drinks dancers found their seats and started to dance to the sweet sounds of the band “Prestige.”
Dinner began with a lovely salad course. Dinners had a choice between Rosemary grilled top sirloin or Filet of Salmon with roasted potatoes and vegetable medley, or Boursin Chicken with parmesan risotto and vegetable medley. Dessert followed with a marbled cheesecake.
Carousel Spring Dance show
The first band break was during dinner. Craig and Holly Tomazin began their first show. They danced and entertaining Quickstep to “Dancin Fool.” Then with quick change from sapphire blue ballgown to black Latin dress, Holly was back and ready to dance. Their second number was a scintillating samba to “Jump in the line.”
After much fun social dancing the band took their second break. Craig and Holly were ready to entertain with a pirate medley. They opened with a pirate sword fight then took off into an international Tango. Between pieces Craig shed his coat and was ready to dance the Paso Doble. It was a swashbuckling routine.
Dancers then made their way back onto the floor to dance the rest of the night away. This was a lovely night of dining, dancing and being entertained. A night to remember.
