William & Robyn dance competition results
Joining in the fun on Sunday were Robyn Collins and William Hooker. They danced three ballroom styles. The competed in American smooth, and International Ballroom & Latin dances. Robyn and William started the day with the pre-championship ballroom Waltz, Foxtrot & Quickstep. They then danced their silver smooth waltz, tango, foxtrot and Viennese waltz, placing first in all dances.
This amateur partnership took the opportunity to duke it out against each other. William danced with Holly in the men’s only gold standard dances, taking first in all dances. Then, partnered with Holly, he danced against Robyn and Craig in gold ballroom. It was a very close battle with marks close to tied across five dances. William won the waltz, and Robyn took the tango, Viennese waltz, tango and quickstep.
Latin dance was saved for last. Robyn and William placed first in their cha-cha, samba, rumba, and jive. They had a great time with all their dances. By the end, we were all satisfied with how we did, and we are looking forward to a rematch in September.
